The self-sufficient dog came to the house on the porch and refused to leave!
When Amy Haden woke up one morning, her daughter announced that there was a dog on the porch.
Since Amy Haden has two pets, she doesn’t think much of it and assumes it’s one of her dogs. But apparently, it was another dog they had never seen before!
The dog is sitting on a patio chair, completely at home. The dog seems very comfortable, as if it were his yard!
In an interview with Good Morning America, Amy Haden said: “He completely slept at home on a mattress, and he never left.”
Every day, Amy Haden comes home to find the dog lying on her yard. In the morning he was there. In the evening, he was still there. And he seems intent on staying.
Amy Haden begins to realize that the dog, whom she names Walker, is not going anywhere anytime soon. She started looking for its owner by posting on social media and contacting neighbors.
No one can tell where Walker came from! After going to the vet, they discovered that Walker didn’t have a microchip. Amy Haden continued to search for her owner for a month but could not find the dog’s true owner.
Unfortunately, Walker doesn’t get along well with Amy Haden’s other dogs. Also, she doesn’t want to take on the extra responsibility that a new pet will bring.
She knew she had to find Walker a home and finally found the perfect fit: An elderly woman praying for a pet!
No one is still sure where Walker came from or why he settled on Amy Haden’s yard, but all is well in the end.
